Karen & Jon’s Capitol Theatre wedding was absolutely elegant and stunning! Their wedding day started off early with Karen having her makeup applied at Bangs and Blush located in Knoxville. After capturing some fun candid photos, we traveled to the venue in Maryville. Jon began his groom prep in the “man cave” located in the venues downstairs. The room itself is dim, but in a way that matches the overall theme and goes hand in hand with the vintage vibe.
The wedding ceremony was full of emotion and excitement, with Karen & Jon’s family all in attendance. After family portraits, a delicious dinner was served before opening up the dance floor for Karen & Jon’s first dance. This wedding was not only vintaged-themed but also dance-themed, with classic dance songs being featured throughout their celebration; in fact, most of the guests in attendance are dancers themselves or part of Karen & Jon’s dance class.
Throughout the evening, the dance floor was packed; even during the cake cutting, we have never seen so many skilled dancers that excelled at their craft, especially at a wedding. You can certainly say this was the “best” first dance we photographed! Right at sunset, we swept Karen & Jon away for some couples’ sunset photos, this is something that we love to do with all of our couples.
The wedding celebration came to a close with a guest-packed sendoff through the front doors of the venue.
