A popular question we often receive is "How many photos will I receive?". Although we will never guarantee a specific amount of photographs that you will receive, we do have a range of photographs you will receive. This range can be affected by many variables, some of these variables are detailed below.
Note: When reviewing the ranges of photographs below, keep in mind that we typically deliver in the middle of those ranges.
Wedding Photography Photos Per Hour & Variables
As a Knoxville wedding photographer, here are some photo count ranges and variables that will affect your photo count in regard to wedding photography.
- Up to 10 hours of coverage: 250-1000 photos
- Up to 8 hours of coverage: 200-800 photos
- Up to 6 hours of coverage: 150-600 photos
Coverage Time
More coverage time means more photos per hour of coverage. Less coverage time equally means fewer photos per hour of coverage.
Guest Count
The higher the guest count, the higher the photo count!
Restrictions
If the ceremony location or reception venue has photography restrictions, chances are it will result in fewer photos per hour.
Shot lists
Although we do not accept shot lists, we do welcome a few specifically requested photos. One may think that following a shot list will result in a higher photo count per hour, but the opposite is actually true. Working off a shot list requires putting the camera down, this results in more missed candid moments and a slower working pace.

Wedding timelines can affect the amount of photos per hour.
Traditions & Formalities
The more traditions and formalities that will occur on your wedding day, will result in more photos per hour.
Travel
Travel time can hinder the amount of photos you receive. We always advise the couple to get ready in close proximity to each other and that the ceremony and location sites be nearby if possible.

Inclement weather can result in fewer photos per hour.
Headshot Photography Photos Per Hour & Variables
As a Knoxville headshot photographer, here are some photo count ranges and variables that will affect your photo count in regard to headshot photography. Our typical headshot client only requires a single fully retouched image, however, we often provide a proofing gallery containing many more images.
- 1-hour session: 25-100 photos
- 15-30 minute session: 15-25 photos
- 10-15 minute session: 5-15 photos

More outfits typically result in a higher photo count. Fewer outfits result in a lower photo count.
