Wedding Photography Experience
Below you can find a detailed overview of what your wedding experience will look like with our studio. We have also provided a timeline, so you can have an idea of when certain events will likely occur. Although each and every wedding is unique in its own way, these timelines are generally pretty accurate based on our experience and recommendations.
Contact Us
Timeline: ASAP
The first step to get started is to contact us by filling out our contact form on our contact page. Although we do offer other methods of inquiring with us including phone, text, and direct email, our contact form is the most efficient and preferred method.
Once we receive your inquiry, we typically review it in depth and respond within 24 hours. Our response email will include our availability, pricing information, studio information, and the next steps to take if we are within your budget. If you don't see an email from us within 48-72 hours, please make sure to check your email promotions and spam folders.
Discovery Meeting
Timeline: 1-14 days after inquiring.
In order to ensure that we are the perfect fit for our couples and vice versa, we always have a Discovery Meeting. This meeting is either in person or online via video call. The purpose of this meeting is to learn not only about you as a couple, but also about your wedding day vision, details, vendors, and more. During this meeting, we will also guide you through our wedding collections and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
By the end of the meeting, if you think we are the perfect fit for your wedding, you are welcome to book us. If you need some time to digest everything, that is fine as well! With our unique style and approach to wedding photography, we understand that some couples may desire something different and that is totally okay. When we truly feel that we may not be the best fit for your wedding, we won't hesitate to refer you to some local and trusted wedding photographers. At the end of the day, your happiness with your wedding photographs is far more important than another booking to us!
Booking
Timeline: 0-7 days after Discovery Meeting.
If you are interested in booking us as your wedding photographers, we only require a retainer and signed contract to book and reserve your wedding date. Booking is typically completed online electronically and we offer a variety of flexible payment options.
Post Booking
Timeline: 0-7 days after Discovery Meeting.
After you book with us, we mark our calendars and reserve your date, no longer accepting bookings on that date. Once you complete your online booking form, you will receive an email regarding what to expect next and an overview of your upcoming experience with our studio. including a link to schedule your Engagement Session if your collection includes one or you are interested in one. Internally, we have our own tasks, including assigning team members to your event and booking any assistant if required.
Engagement Session
Timeline: 1-3 months after Discovery Meeting.
Most Engagement Sessions take place a month or so after your Discovery Meeting and well in advance of your wedding. This not only provides you with photos that will contrast your wedding photos but also gives you plenty of time to order and receive artwork from your engagement session. Most engagement sessions last around an hour which will give you plenty of variety with your photographs. Following your engagement session, you will receive an email with what to expect next as well as a link to our engagement collections.
Engagement Reveal
Timeline: 14 days after your Engagement Session.
Your engagement photos will be ready to view about 14 days after your engagement session. All of our Engagement Sessions include an Engagement Reveal. During your engagement Reveal, we will present you with your engagement photos in a beautifully designed slideshow. Next, we will review all of your engagement photos one by one and select your favorites. Lastly, we will walk you through all of our engagement artwork collection options and help you place any orders. We have no minimum orders and you are free to purchase only what you love!
Wedding Planning
Timeline: 2-4 months before your wedding date.
The most essential portion of wedding planning typically occurs 2-4 months before your wedding date. During this time, we will work with you to build the ideal wedding photography timeline. If you have a wedding planner (Which we highly recommend if you don't!), we will work directly with them as well. During this time, you will also receive several essential questionnaires from us including our Wedding Details Questionaire, Wedding Photo Requests Questionnaire, and our Wedding Vendor Team Questionnaire.
Wedding Day
Timeline: Your wedding date.
Your big day is here! Relax and enjoy peace of mind that your wedding photography is in excellent hands!
Post-Production
Timeline: 0-14 days after your wedding.
Immediately after your wedding, our studio begins a comprehensive internal post-production workflow. Some of these tasks include backing up your wedding images to ensure redundancy, image selection, and image color correction.
Wedding Reveal
Timeline: 2 weeks after your wedding.
Your wedding photos will be ready to view about 2 weeks after your wedding. All of our wedding collections include a wedding reveal. During your wedding reveal, we will present you with your wedding photos in a beautifully designed slideshow. Next, we will walk you through all of our post-wedding artwork collection options and help you place any orders. We have no minimum orders and you are free to purchase only what you love!
Gallery Delivery
Timeline: During your Wedding Reveal
During your wedding reveal, we will also guide you through how to access your online gallery, as well as how to download and share your wedding photos. Our online galleries also offer the ability for family and friends to order small gift prints.
Album Image Selection
Timeline: 1-7 days after your online gallery is delivered.
Our studio offers an efficient way to include wedding photos that are meaningful to you, while also maintaining the artistic integrity of your wedding album.
Album Reveal
Timeline: 7-14 days after your album image selections are submitted.
Once you have submitted your album image selections, we will create an initial album design that not only incorporates your selections but also maintains creativity and storytelling. Your initial album design will be revealed during an online video call during which you can request adjustments such as swapping or replacing images. For efficiency, changes will be made in real-time using our album design software. During this meeting, we will also finalize your album material selections and personalization. Once we receive final approval from you, we will submit your order for print.
Delivery
Timeline: 6-8 weeks after album approval.
Your completed wedding album will be delivered 6-8 weeks after you give us final approval.
Completion
Timeline: Upon wedding album delivery.
Once we have delivered your wedding album, only then, do we consider our job complete.
