Old Knoxville County Courthouse
Most Knoxville courthouse weddings take place at the Old Knoxville County Courthouse in downtown Knoxville. This location makes for great courthouse wedding photography as it has several shaded areas just outside of the courthouse that will make great wedding photos.
For courthouse weddings, we will typically accompany you throughout the course and capture candid wedding photos as moments unfold. All of our equipment is safe passing through the installed metal detectors and we leave behind any items that may stall our entry into the courthouse. During this time, we may also capture photographs of your wedding details & attire.
Courthouse wedding ceremonies usually happen outside and are very fast. We will be diligent to capture a variety of angles and always be ready for your first kiss. After your wedding ceremony is complete, we prefer to immediately take more formal family photographs. We will photograph a variety of portrait groupings for you to enjoy as well as a variety of compositions. For larger groupings of 3 or more people, we typically photograph horizontally only. For smaller groupings of 2-3 people or less, we photograph both horizontally and vertically.
After the more formal photographs of your family & friends, we will begin with your couples session. This time is all about you both and we will create some highly creative photos for you to enjoy. During this time, we will employ our cinematic photography style for some breathtaking courthouse wedding photos! Your couple's session typically lasts around 15-30 minutes depending on the overall timeline and courthouse wedding photography collection booked.
